Ibiza is not a one-pair-of-shorts kind of island. You'll go from the beach to a boat to a restaurant to a rooftop bar, and at some point you'll realise that the swim trunks you chose at 9am are still the thing you're wearing at 9pm. Why Ibiza Demands Better Swimwear

Most holiday destinations are forgiving. Ibiza is not. The island operates on a spectrum that runs from "barefoot on a dirt track" to "table for sunset" sometimes in the same afternoon. Your swim trunks need to handle both ends.

At the beach clubs - Nikki Beach, Nassau, Beachouse - there's an unspoken dress code. Nothing written on a sign, but you'll feel it. The men who look right are wearing tailored mid-length trunks in a considered print. The men who don't are wearing knee-length board shorts with a surf brand logo. It's not about money. It's about knowing the room.

On the boats - and you will end up on a boat, even if you didn't plan to, you need trunks that dry fast, sit well, and don't look like pyjamas when you dock at a harbour restaurant. What to Look For

Fit. Mid-length, above the knee. Not short enough to raise eyebrows, not long enough to look like you're heading to a surf competition. Fabric. Quick-dry is non-negotiable. You'll be in and out of the water multiple times a day, and nobody wants to sit on a restaurant chair in wet cotton.
